Nice unit, slow shipping
I ordered the DX 1000 Premium S because I wanted something larger for my home and it looked like a solid investment. The unit itself is well-built and the SmartAging Technology is quite handy, taking a lot of guesswork out of the process. I also picked up a few sets of the Fleischhaken which are sturdy. My only real gripe was the shipping time; it took almost two weeks to reach me in California, which felt a bit long for such a high-value item. Customer service was polite when I called, but couldn't really speed things up. Overall, it's a quality product, but plan for a wait on delivery.
Good for home use
I finally got the DX 500 Premium S after thinking about it for ages. It's pretty quiet in my kitchen, which is a plus. The beef I dry-aged came out really good, much better than what I used to get from the butcher. It took about a week to get here, which was fine.
